BAHAWALPUR:

Scores of students of HSSC-I (intermediate studies) staged a demonstration in front of the Bahawalpur Press Club on Thursday to protest against, what they called, was ‘unjust’ marking of their exams by the Bahawalpur Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. The protesting girls blocked the road for traffic and shouted slogans against the Bahawalpur BISE. They carried placards with demands for rechecking of their exams written on them. They said the Bahawalpur BISE has done them wrong. Most of them said the low marks would affect their admission to medical colleges later. “Even students who have scored up to 950 marks in matriculation exams had failed their first year exams…this is not fair,” a protester said. They demanded that their papers be checked again.
