Raising awareness: LUMHS observes World Arthritis Day

Hundreds of teachers and students from SU, MUET, SAU and Cadet College, Petaro, participated in the marathon

HYDERABAD: The Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) organised a micro-marathon on Monday to mark the World Arthritis Day. Hundreds of teachers and students from Sindh University (SU), Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Sindh Agriculture University (SAU) and Cadet College, Petaro, participated in the marathon. It started from the main entrance of MUET and ended outside the SU vice-chancellor’s house, covering a distance of over one kilometre. SAU student Yasir Ali and SU’s Shaista Khan won the race in male and female categories, respectively. LUMHS also organised a seminar in which orthopaedic surgeons spoke about arthritis and for adopting a healthy lifestyle to prevent this medical condition.
