Bank customer injured in firing in Clifton

Quarrel occurred when the security guard stopped customers from using a mobile phone inside the bank

KARACHI: A customer was injured in a firing incident during a quarrel with security inside a branch of a private bank in Clifton on Monday evening. The incident took place at a branch of Habib Bank Limited located near Bilawal House within the limits of the Boat Basin police station. The police, while quoting the initial investigation, said that the quarrel between the customers and the bank’s security guard occurred when the security guard tried to stop the two customers from using a mobile phone inside the bank. During the quarrel, a bullet was fired from the guard’s gun, injuring a customer, Naeem Khan.
