Balochistan unrest: FC siezes ammunition dump

The suspect was picked up for interrogation on reports that he was working for a banned outfit

QUETTA: The paramilitary Frontier Corps (FC), Balochistan recovered a large cache of ammunition in Dalbandin area of Chaghai district on Wednesday. Chaghai, which borders with both Afghanistan and Iran, is notorious for every sort of trafficking. According to FC spokesman, acting on an intelligence tip-off, a contingent of the paramilitary force seized ammunition dump buried underground by unidentified people. During the search operation FC recovered 57 ammunition boxes, 56 hand tubes, 17 mortar shells and a missile. FC personnel cordoned off the entire area and started efforts to trace out suspects. Meanwhile, FC detained a suspected militant in the Absar area of Turbat district. According to FC spokesman, the suspect was picked up for interrogation on reports that he was working for a banned outfit.
