The court is hearing a petition by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC)

LAHORE: A division bench of Lahore High Court (LHC) barred the University of Health Sciences on Monday from announcing the results of 100 students of the Red Crescent Medical and Dental College. The bench sought a reply from the UHS on the college’s affiliation with the university. The court is hearing a petition by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC). Barrister Muhammad Umar, counsel for the PMDC, submitted that the council had already issued a notice to the college for the cancellation of its affiliation for violating rules and regulations and failing to meet the standards. Umar said the college administration had secured stay orders by misleading courts and by concealing facts. He said the college administration had now “used some students to obtain a court order”.
