World Bank’s help: Local export industry to get a boost

The delegates also appreciated the role of trendy Sialkot business community that is available on a self-help basis

The World Bank has offered $100 million funding for the local export industries in a bid to improve the quantity of exports of their products.


A delegation, led by Justin Hill, visited the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) to discuss ways to collaborate.


While addressing SCCI, Hill also pledged to provide full technical assistance and guidance to boost  the export industry of Sialkot.


The delegation discussed in details several matters of mutual interest with acting SCCI President Muhammad Sarfraz Butt and other leading exporters.


The delegates hailed the unique export culture of Sialkot and the city’s well developed socio-economic and human capital infrastructure.


They also appreciated the role of trendy Sialkot business community that is available on a self-help basis.
