Tilly follows in the footsteps of her father as she fronts her own cooking TV show.
The ruthless devil in the kitchen and most ferocious chef on earth, Gordon Ramsey -- known to put his apprentices through hell in his Hell’s Kitchen -- has his daughter ready to follow suit.
As reported by Mail Online, Gordon’s 13-year-old daughter, Matilda Ramsay who goes by the name Tilly, has been such a hit with young viewers because of her programme Matilda And The Ramsay Bunch that CBBC bosses have already approached her about making more series of her popular show.
“Tilly's show is not even halfway through its run and bosses have already offered her a new deal. Obviously she is far too young to get involved in financial negotiations but her dad is happy to take on that responsibility. He is now getting real satisfaction form helping to guide his daughter through the TV industry,” Mail Online quoted a source as saying.
The teen is being closely mentored by her father who was also on the jury of Master Chef and is a known restaurateur. She revealed that her dad had encouraged her to develop her passion for cooking, but insisted he wasn't as tough as he seems.
Well, this is a surprise since we wonder if we can get any more harsh considering his usual swearing feuds and foul-mouthed rants!
But his daughter said, "He is not too hard. He makes sure everything is done, though. He is strict in a good way."
Meanwhile, Gordon isn't worried about the pressure Tilly is putting herself under by being on television.
“I think CBBC is a little bit different to Channel 4 primetime. I’m not just saying that to make an excuse. There is a bit of a safety net,” he said.
It is no secret that the man himself is every chef’s nightmare. His kitchen is a pressure cooker and he spares no one working with him. We are yet to see if junior Ramsey has acquired the same temperament as her father.
