The 55-year-old star has enrolled at the prestigious London University.

If Zayn Malik, Justin Beiber and Kanye West can try their luck in the rag trade, then it should come as no surprise if a few years down the line Zorro also launches his own line of couture.

According to The Telegraph, Hollywood actor and the mask behind Zorro, Antonio Banderas enrolled in one of the most esteemed fashion colleges in the world.

The 55-year-old star of Original Sin is a fortnight into pattern-making at the prestigious London University that boasts John Galliano, Alexander McQueen, Phoebe Philo and Stella McCartney among its alumni.

A few days ago Antonio posted a picture of himself on Instagram posing with half a dozen mannequins:

It’s likely that he enrolled for a short summer school programme; the course curriculum covers everything from couture tailoring to styling and fashion drawing to photography.

The actor appeared on TV chat show Loose Women back in March to talk about his new journey.

“It’s something that has been on my mind for a long time, and probably one of the best schools in the world is here… Saint Martins University, and so I am going to start studying with them. It’s going to take a while but I need knowledge to take steps in that territory."

Antonio added that the move made him feel “very young”, but he won’t be giving up film just yet – he plans to continue acting and directing.
