Students of Ghazi University in Dera Ghazi Khan held a demonstration on Wednesday against two professors who allegedly harassed a woman head of department.

Hundreds of students participated in a rally from the university to College Chowk and refused to attend their classes. They shouted slogans against the members of the VC Committee, who had allegedly harassed the woman instructor, and demanded that they be transferred without delay.

Students told journalists that the professors, members of the VC committee, had called Dr Shehzadi Mahpara, head of the Agriculture Department, to their office and had misbehaved with her. They said they had slapped her and used foul language. “Dr Mahpara recorded the altercation on her phone but the instructors snatched it from her,” one of the protesters said. Civil Lines police have a registered a case on Dr Mahpara’s complaint.

Sania | 8 years ago | Reply This is a completely fake story, since the VC committee took charge of vice chancellors the propaganda group including najeeb haider, nadeem iqbal, mahpara, shoaib and few more are continuously trying to create hurdles for smooth working. This group is always creating different self made issues against VC committee because of their professional jealousy and dirty institutional politic. The so called victim teacher mahpara herself is a blackmailer and always threat students and other staff members. She has already many issues going on with many colleagues. Being student of Ghazi Uni myself and hundreds of other students have concerns on her behavior and her dealing with male staff members. Mahpara is just trying earn sympathy against our most respected and senior most professors. VC Committee is performing excellently and many people who are habitual poor performer, absentees during working hours and drowned in corruption are now against VC committee. Mahpara topped the list by making so cheap allegation against these reputed personalities. There should e strict legal action against mahpara and she should be terminated due to such characterless behavior. Ghazi Uni Students
