PESHAWAR:

NAB Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa has arrested a patwari for illegally accumulating assets beyond known sources of income. Talking to The Express Tribune on Friday, a NAB official said Aseem, a patwari who was posted in Islamabad, was taken into custody earlier in the day.

According to the official, Aseem owns a farm house in Khanpur, residential and commercial properties in Rawalpindi and over Rs30 million in his bank accounts.

“He has assets worth millions of rupees even though he is just a government servant and had no known source of income other than his nominal salary,” said the official.
