Deported: SHC issues notices in missing persons case

The petitoner pleaded the court direct the respondents to produced her husband before the court and release him

The Sindh High Court (SHC) issued notices on Thursday to the interior ministry, Federal Investigation Agency IG and Airport SHO to file comments on the petition seeking the whereabouts of a missing person, Kashif alias David.


Kashif's wife, Raheela Kashif, had filed a petition seeking the whereabouts of her husband who went missing on August 1 this year. According to her petition Kashif owned a business in United Arab Emirates (UAE) and was settled in Abu Dhabi. Kashif was at his home in Abu Dhabi when the immigration authority raided the house and took him into custody, the petition stated.

According to Raheela, she received a call on August 6 that informed her of Kashif's deportment to Pakistan. Requesting her husband's whereabouts, she filed applications to the UAE embassy and Airport SHO but received no response from either. She pleaded the court direct the respondents to produced her husband before the court and release him.
