Kings XI Punjab co-owner Preity Zinta denied reports that she had accused multiple players of the Indian Premier League (IPL) team of match-fixing, reported NDTV on Wednesday.
Some media reports recently surfaced claiming that the Indian film actress had told the officials of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) during an IPL working group meeting on August 8 that some players from Kings XI Punjab may be involved in 'suspicious activities' related to throwing matches.
The report alleged that Zinta had further said that she felt that some IPL matches in which her team participated seemed to follow a pre-set pattern and said that the BCCI’s anti-corruption team has not been able to effectively tackle the match-fixing problem.
Various IPL stakeholders and all four members of the working group; IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla, BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur, BCCI treasurer Anirudh Chaudhary and former India captain Sourav Ganguly, had been present at the meeting.
When the media reports reached Zinta later in the day, she firmly denied the content of the article and took to twitter to discredit the report.

The Indian league has recently been at the end of several spot-fixing and betting scandals.
Justice RM Lodha Committee recently suspended former champions Chennai Super Kings and Rajashtan Royals after their owner/official were found guilty of betting on matches.
