Anti-Army Remarks: Hearing of plea against Zardari put off

Muhammad Ilyas had filed the petition submitting that a speech against the army amounted to treason

LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge sought comments on Saturday from the Mughalpura SHO by August 22 on a petition seeking a treason case against PPP leaders, two former prime ministers and others over alleged hate speech against Pakistan Army. The judge had earlier sought comments from the SHO at a previous hearing. He was informed that the petition had been sent to the authorities concerned for advice. No advice had been received on Saturday. Muhammad Ilyas had filed the petition submitting that a speech against the army amounted to treason. He accused Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Yousaf Raza Gilani and Raja Pervez Ashraf.
