Vaccination: Measles campaign to begin in Khyber

The drive aims to vaccinate at least 374,167 children over the 12-day period

JAMRUD: A 12-day measles campaign will start in Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency on Monday. While talking to The Express Tribune, Dr Niaz Muhammad Afridi, the agency surgeon, stated the campaign to vaccinate children against measles will be launched in Jamrud, Landi Kotal and Bara and will continue for 12 consecutive days. The campaign comprises 244 teams which will provide a door-to-door service and vaccinate children under the age of 10. Dr Afridi said polio drops will also be provided to children under the age of five years during the campaign.The drive aims to vaccinate at least 374,167 children over the 12-day period.
