Bid money: Rs40m spent on consultancies

The department has hired five consultancy firms based in Peshawar, Islamabad and Lahore

PESHAWAR: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa housing department spent over Rs40 million in hiring the services of various consultants for its seven projects across the province. This was stated in documents obtained under the K-P Right to Information Act 2013. According to a copy of the documents available with The Express Tribune, the department has hired five consultancy firms based in Peshawar, Islamabad and Lahore for its projects in the housing sector. The total cost of these projects is estimated to be Rs229 million. The projects include Jalozai Housing Scheme, Mega Education City and Sports City Model Town projects in Nowshera, High Court City flats in Hayatabad, Mega City Kagh Lasht project in Chitral and Chughal Pura-Model Town Expressway in Peshawar.
