Demise: MPA Kaneez Akhtar passes away

LAHORE: Member of the Punjab Assembly Kaneez Akhtar passed away on Tuesday. Akhtar had sustained a fracture following an injury after which she was taken to Services Hospital for a surgery. Akhtar was 70 years old. Akhtar had been elected to the provincial assembly on a reserve seat. She had hailed from Faisalabad. She was a member of the standing committee of Social Welfare and Baitul Mal. Her body will be taken to Faisalabad. The funeral prayers will be offered today (Wednesday) at 9am.
