Bad blood: Girl shot dead by cousin in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD:

A man shot dead his cousin on Friday.

The Dijkot SHO told The Express Tribune 22-year-old Myra*, a resident of Chak 270-RB Majhiwal, was talking to a youth of the neighbourhood when her cousin Tariq, saw them. He said Tariq reprimanded her and told her not to talk to him again. He said when Myra said it was none of his business, he pulled a gun and shot her. She died on the spot. Later, a team from Dijikot police station took the body into custody and took it to the morgue for post mortem examination. He said an FIR had been registered on the complaint of father of the deceased. The SHO said a team had been formed to apprehend the suspect.
