Setting the record straight

Letter July 29, 2015
Apprehensions mentioned in your report existed prior to APC, and post- APC, there is no disagreement between parties

KARACHI: Your report on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor titled “Eastern CPEC route unfeasible” (July 26) was accurate in every detail, except one. The report was prepared prior to the All-Parties Conference (APC) on the topic held on May 28, at which all parties arrived at a consensus decision to build the western route.

The report, however, was released after the APC. The foreword mentions the fact that the report is pre-APC. Furthermore, the report carries a postscript, which details the APC decision. The apprehensions mentioned in your report existed prior to the APC, and post- the APC, there is no disagreement between the parties.
