In honour: Youm-e-Shuhada committee finalises events

PESHAWAR:

The first meeting of the organising committee of Youm-e-Shuhada or Martyrdom Day was held at police lines under the chairmanship of Headquarters AIGP Mian Muhammad Asif.

At the meeting, which was held on Friday, it was decided that the events would start taking place from July 27. The meeting was attended by DIG Investigation Headquarters Dr Masood Saleem, Hazara DIG Investigation Muhammad Ali Baba Khel, DIG Headquarters Mubarak Zeb, CCPO Ijaz Khan, DIG Training Muhammad Ali Gandapur, Elite Force Commandant Muhammad Alam Shinwari, DIG Traffic Zafar Ali Khan, SSP Traffic Wahid Mehmood, SP Headquarters Ahsan Saifullah and others.

Duties were assigned regarding the arrangement of various activities at the functions that would take place every day, from July 27 till the main event of Youm-e-Shuhada Sifwat Ghayyor Martyrdom Day on August 4. It was also decided that a Quran Khwani will be held in every police lines’ mosques on July 31, a Friday.
