Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Monday inducted four new members in the party's Rabita Committee, a press release stated.

"Dr A Qadir Khanzada, Advocate Gulfaraz Khattak, Aslam Shah Afridi and former zonal incharge Shabbir Qaim Khani have been inducted in the Rabita Committee," a press release stated.

The appointment of the new members came two days after the MQM chief Altaf Hussain suspended the entire Karachi Rabita (coordination) Committee of the MQM barring three members. Altaf suspended the committee because the body has been “unable to effectively perform its responsibilities despite several assurances”.

Kaiful Warah, Abdul Haseeb and Arif Khan Advocate had been spared, while the rest of the committee was advised against showing up at the party headquarters Nine Zero.

An MQM source said party chief Altaf Hussain was annoyed with the members’ tardiness and inadequate duty hours. “They were warned three days ago.”

Altaf said in a statement that a decision on the party’s corresponding policymaking body in London was expected in a day or two. However, no decision has been made as yet.

Bhai sitting abroad does this to keep his hold on MQM.When ever he feels that his grip is getting lose,he makes such changes. But after rangers raid on Nine Zero, every one knows that this party has lost its most effective weapon which was used to create fear among Karachites. This is no more the same party, it has lost its awe and ability to get extortion in the name of charity. It has to adopt to new realities, otherwise it will get eliminated by the arms of the state which are getting stronger and stronger courtesy General Raheel Sharif who unlike our political Sharifs is bent upon to eliminate all sorts of terrors and its sponsors. MQM was over joyed when army was launching its operation in tribal areas but it gets panicked when rangers started to go after criminals in Karachi. Our rulers in Punjab will also join this chorus if army decides to uproot the nexus of corruption and kickbacks in their so called political stronghold which have been ruling since 1985. Let see when this happen, for this country can not survive without punishing the corrupts as it is doing the terrorists.
