Saarc council: Call to promote women entrepreneurship

She made the statement prior to her departure to Bhutan to attend a two-day Saarc CCI meeting

ISLAMABAD: South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation Women Entrepreneurship Council (SAARCWEC) Chairperson Shaista Pervaiz Malik has called for exploiting the full potential of women entrepreneurs to alleviate poverty in the region. She made the statement prior to her departure to Bhutan to attend a two-day Saarc CCI meeting. “SAARCWEC has 58 members and its headquarters are located in Pakistan which is an honour for the country,” she said. Malik said during the meeting she would present the performance report of the SAARCWEC and it would also be reviewed. Regional and intra-regional trade and women entrepreneurship would be discussed and recommendations made.
