Ayyan made headlines for her VIP treatment and for ‘transforming’ the environment of Adiala jail.

Pakistani supermodel Ayyan Ali was released on Thursday after spending four months in Rawalpindi's Adiala Jail. The model was arrested on charges of money laundering by customs' officials from Benazir Bhutto International Airport on March 14 after $506,800 were recovered from her luggage.

While in custody, Ayyan made headlines numerous times for everything from 'VIP treatment' to 'transforming the atmosphere' at Adiala jail. Her judicial remand was extended 16 times before finally getting a bail.

Upon release on Thursday, the supermodel was even chased by select media channels in a paparazzi-style pursuit that is being dubbed as “Diana-esque" by some. Here are some of the reactions from Twitter:

As if nothing happened. Salute to Pakistan's Joke-of-a justice system. As long as the corrupt are playing this way, the nation will NEVER witness change/justice/progress/peace.
