The newly-inducted investigation officers (IOs) of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) will get training at the Police Training College Sihala.

A meeting was held on Friday chaired by NAB Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry to review the progress on the training plan for the newly inducted IOs.

The director-general training and research division told the meeting that the process of recruitment of IOs has been completed, and they will soon be nominated for the training programme.

He said that content of the previous course had been circulated to all regional and divisional wings of NAB for feedback to improve the course and their input has been incorporated in the new course. A syllabus for the capacity-building of the IOs has been formulated to ensure that they get training according to the SOP and standard rules.

The NAB chairman said that training was vital for the capacity-building of human capital to achieve desirable results and professional competence.
