Fall 2015: GIKI to hold entrance test today

There is no reserved quota and candidates will be selected on merit

SWABI: Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology will conduct an entrance test for various undergraduate programmes on Sunday (today). Speaking to journalists in Swabi on Saturday, GIKI Rector Jehangir Bashar said test centres have been set up in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Multan, Peshawar and Quetta and the deputed staff has already been dispatched to the centres. “All preparations were completed under the supervision of entrance test committee members,” he said. According to Bashar, successful candidates will be granted admission in various programmes offered at the institute. “This includes chemical engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, engineering sciences, materials engineering, materials engineering, computer science and management sciences programmes,” he said. “There is no reserved quota and candidates will be selected on merit.”
