Encounter: 11 outlaws booked for killing Rangers officials

Two personnel of the paramilitary force were killed in the encounter with the outlaws

SUKKUR: Garhi Yasin police registered on Wednesday FIRs against 11 suspects over their alleged involvement in the murder of two Rangers officials, including a deputy superintendent.

The director-general of Sindh Rangers visited Larkana on Wednesday where he was briefed about the law and order situation.

The Garhi Yasin police have registered FIR No. 76/2015 under sections 302, 324, 353, 427 of the Pakistan Penal Code and 6/7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act against 11 accused, including, Afghan Marfani, Baboo Tunio, Aman Tunio, Muhammad Nawaz Marfani, Ali Nawaz Marfani, Asghar Marfani, Hussain Bux Marfani, Sikandar Marfani and Shaban alias Tharo Marfani.

Meanwhile, Rangers DG Major General Bilal Akbar visited Larkana on Wednesday where officers from Sukkur and Larkana briefed him about the Garhi Yasin encounter, in which four persons, including two Rangers officials, were killed.

He was also briefed about the presence of gangs of dacoits in the katcha areas of Sukkur and Larkana divisions. The DG was also told that there were tribal feuds between the different clans and the tribesmen possessed modern and heavy weaponry.
