Bilateral trade: LCCI, Swiss embassy agree on cohesion

In an effort to strengthen economic ties and mutual trade, the embassy of Switzerland and the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) consented to a joint effort.


The decision was made during a meeting between the Ambassador of Switzerland Marc George and LCCI President Ijaz Mumtaz on Monday. The representatives were of the view that both countries possess huge potential for bilateral trade and resources should be equally utilised. The ambassador said that Switzerland is one of the largest foreign investors in Pakistan and the Swiss business community is willing to make further investment.


He said that several Swiss companies were already operating in Pakistan, expressing hope that investment would see a boost in the coming months due to liberal policies.
