The flood washed away both father and son

MINGORA: A man drowned and died in a flash flood on the outskirts of Mingora, Swat, in the late hours of Monday. An official of Banrh police said the incident occurred in Akhtarabad area. He said Pir Muhammad and his son Asad were swimming in a stream when suddenly, due to torrential rain in Kalam, a flash flood pulled them in. The flood washed away both father and son. The official said locals nearby were able to rescue Asad. However, they could not save Muhammad, who drowned eventually. Muhammad’s body was taken out in the morning by the locals.
