FAISALABAD:
Scores of residents of Chak 210-RB Lakhoana staged a protest demonstration against land grabbers on Saturday. Talking to newsmen, Adnan Zia said some men had grabbed lands of people living in Chak 210-RB.
He said when women in the area resisted, they were beaten and abused. He said one of them had been taken to a hospital with serious injuries. “We complained about the incident to police but they took no action against them,” he said. The protesters chanted slogans and urged the CPO to take action against land grabbers.
DSP Abid Zafar met the protesters and assured them that their complaint would be investigated.
