Hardened criminal?: MQM worker remanded in murder case

Suspect confessed to committing serious offences including targeted killings, extortion and poll riggings

KARACHI: The ATC-II remanded a Muttahida Qaumi Movement worker, Umair Siddiqi alias Jailor, in a double murder case. Siddiqi was presented by the Gulshan-e-Maymar police after his custody was transferred by the Rangers following the completion of his three-month preventive detention. According to a Rangers official, the suspect confessed to committing serious offences including targeted killings, extortion and poll riggings. However, no such document was submitted to the court.
