KARACHI:

The All Pakistan NADRA Employee's Union (APNEU) has once again gone on strike in Sindh, with 52 NADRA stations being shut down on Thursday

APNEU has threatened to shut down all NADRA offices in Sindh until their demand of employee representation in the regional committee formed to resolve employee issues is met.

According to the union's general-secretary, Salman Zuberi, the reasons for the sit-in are the forced transfers of employees, ill-treatment of low-level employees by higher officers and the lack of medical facilities promised by the NADRA chief, Usman Mobin.

"The directors and director-generals of the organisation are forcibly transferring employees to areas where they don't want to get transferred to," he alleged.

NADRA's Sindh director-general and head of the regional committee, Mahmood Iqbal, denied all allegations leveled against NADRA, while speaking to The Express Tribune.
