ISLAMABAD: An Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) leader was killed on Monday night in Lohi Bher police precincts. Two unidentified men on a motorcycle gunned down Maulana Muhammad Idrees Kashmiri, a central leader of ASWJ and Jamia Masjid Al-Hussain khateeb. Kashmiri was on his way to the mosque on Shalimar Road when his car came under attack. He had suffered two bullets to the head and two to the neck. His body was taken to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences. ASWJ leaders claimed that the victim had been receiving death threats and he had filed an application at the Lohi Bher police station. However, the police denied that any such report was filed.
