KARACHI: Commander 5 Corps Lt General Naveed Mukhtar on Thursday reiterated his resolve to restore complete peace and stability in Karachi. He said this while talking to an 11-member delegation of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI). Mukhtar also inquired about the business climate and sought KCCI’s suggestions to rebuild the trust of the business community. KCCI delegation expressed deep concerns over issues pertaining to poor administration, dilapidated infrastructure, utility problems, severe traffic jams in various roads, increasing encroachments in different localities and underperformance of industrial units. Commander 5 Corps was of the view that the genuine representatives of the business and industrial community should also be regularly invited to participate in meetings being held from time to time to discuss and review the law and order situation of Karachi.
