Delayed justice: Four men awarded the death penalty

Two of the accused were acquitted due to lack of evidence

The Ghotki district and sessions court awarded on Thursday the death penalty to four people on charges of murdering a man over a matrimonial dispute in Raunti town in 2009. Two of the accused were acquitted due to lack of evidence.


The third Ghotki additional and sessions judge, Shafi Pirzada, awarded the death penalty to Abdul Rasheed Bhutto, Allah Diwayo Bhutto, Allah Rakhio Bhutto and Ghulam Nabi Bhutto on charges of murdering Arbab Bhutto in Raunti town in 2009. The court also fined the accused Rs50,000 each.
