QUETTA: The lawmakers of Balochistan Assembly disposed of two resolutions on Friday. The assembly session was held with chairman of the panel Eng Zamaruk Khan Achakzai in chair.

The first resolution tabled by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) member Husan Bano demanded building an inter girls college in the Killi Sardar Ali Ahmed Sanjrani area of Kharan district. The resolution stated that around 600 girls passed the matric examination there, which warranted creating an inter girls college in the area.

Chief Minister Balochistan Dr Abdul Malik Baloch responded to the resolution by saying the set criteria was that one college caters to the needs of an area having five to six high schools. Hence he did not support the resolution. After the assurance by the JUI F MPA, the chair disposed of the resolution.

Second resolution was tabled again by Husan Bano demanding to create posts for unemployed engineers in the next fiscal budget which the federal government provided in the Aghaz e Haqooq Blaochistan Package under which 5,000 graduates were to be given the posts.

Balochistan Chief Minister replied that the Aghaz e Haqooq Balochistan Package was regularized by the provincial government, not the federal government.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz parliamentary leader Nawab Sanaullah Zehri assured the JUI-F woman member Husan Bano that he will take up the issue with the central government. After the assurance the chair disposed of the resolution.

Meanwhile, the lawmakers criticized Punjab police for their alleged biased attitude with Pashto-speaking people in Punjab.

Pashtoonkhawa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) MPA, Nasrullah Khan Zeeray moved an adjournment motion which said that Pashto speaking people living in Punjab were there to earn a livelihood, run transport businesses or study at educational institutions and should not be arrested illegally.

PkMAP MPA Syed Liaquat Ali Agha said that the Constitution of the country gives right to all citizens to receive an education and do business in all four provinces of the country.

The Acting Speaker Zamarak Piralizai said that Punjab police should avoid disturbing Pashtoon students and businessmen in their province.

He laid the adjournment motion to the house which approved for debate on May 25.
