Baroness Mobarik CBE, House of Lords from the United Kingdom visited the Punjab Board of Investment & Trade (PBIT) here on Friday, accompanied by Renoir Global Private Limited CEO Umer Faruqi.   


The discussion mainly focused on opportunities to invest in Punjab and the role of PBIT. It also covered investment opportunities in sectors such as energy, infrastructure and education.

Baroness suggested that Pakistan investment opportunities should be marketed well in the UK. She also encouraged SMEs to invest in Punjab. A further discussion on the role of PBIT in facilitating the potential and existing investors took place.

PBIT CEO Muhammad Ilyas Ghauri shared information on the road show being planned for the UK by PBIT in collaboration with the Pakistan Overseas Commission.
