Pesco Meeting: Purchase of 22 transformers approved

The board also okayed the PESCO Employees Pension Fund Trust

PESHAWAR: Peshawar Electric Supply Company’s board of directors approved the purchasing of 22 power transformers and the creation of five new sub-divisions during a meeting on Friday. According to a statement issued, board chairman Malik Muhammad Asad Khan presided over the meeting held at WAPDA House. Shimla Hill and Abbottabad City-II sub-divisions will be separated from Abbottabad City-I and two new sub-divisions, Samar Bagh and Lal Qila, will be created in Timergara-I. It was also decided that at least 22 transformers will be acquired. The board also okayed the PESCO Employees Pension Fund Trust and approved the allocation of Rs60 million for employee loans.
