Road accident: Minor dies on way to school

The students were en route to their schools in a Qingqi rickshaw when the driver lost control of the vehicle

MARDAN: A five-year-old girl was killed and six others were injured in a road mishap in Shahbaz Garhi, Mardan on Monday. Rescue 1122 officials said some students were en route to their schools in a Qingqi rickshaw when the driver lost control of the vehicle and it collided with a pickup. Subsequently, 5-year-old Hadiqa died on the spot while five other students and the driver, Umer Khaliq, sustained injuries. Rescue 1122 officials added they rushed the injured to a hospital nearby where doctors stated the driver’s condition to be critical.
