PESHAWAR:
The schedule for the second round of cantonment board elections in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa was announced on Saturday.
Nomination forms can be submitted to the respective returning officers till May 18. Scrutiny of the forms will take place on May 19 and election symbols will be allotted to candidates
by May 23.
Along with the schedule, the election commission also issued the notification for the duties of 30 returning officers for polling day on May 29.
The second round of polling will take place for minorities, peasants, labourers and women’s reserve seats, said Asad Khan of the Peshawar Cantonment Board.
He added security measures were also being chalked out to ensure a peaceful environment during the polls.
