KARACHI:
Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah appointed Akhtar Hussain Jadoon, a former Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MPA and transport minister, as his special assistant. PPP vice-president Sherry Rehman, while addressing a gathering of Pashtun elders at Jadoon’s residence on Monday, congratulated Jadoon and said that Karachi’s Pashtun community is a key component of development in the mega city. Rehman also reaffirmed her party’s continued and equal support for all citizens of Karachi. She said that the PPP is committed to serve the underprivileged communities of the city and will continue to pursue progressive policies.
