ISLAMABAD:

Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has launched an online complaint management centre to enable students to streamline the complaint registration and redressal mechanism.

The students can now lodge their complaints related to admission, examination or delivery of books on the university website.

The university held an orientation about the online complaint cell for its regional offices last week.

Each query will generate a ticket confirming registration of complaint and through this ticket a student will be able to track the response of his complaint or query.

The centre will manage all kinds of complaints, received directly or through emails, letters or phone calls. The staff of complaint centre will transfer the complaints or queries to the relevant departments. The department will generate a daily report detailing how many complaints were received, referred to the relevant departments and answered.

AIOU Vice-Chancellor Dr Shahid Siddiqui, while launching the facility, said facilitating the students was a priority for him.

The varsity has already introduced an SMS system to text students about their admission and results.
