Promoting tourism: K-P, AJK govt to hold jeep rally

PESHAWAR: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Jammu and Kashmir government will collaborate to arrange a jeep rally from Naran to Muzaffarabad, said AJK Director Museums and Tourism Pirzada Rashid Ahmad on Tuesday.

The jeep rally, he said, was the first step to promote tourism in the region.


Giving details, he said the jeep rally will cover a distance of 350km. Starting from Naran, the rally will pass through different scenic locations including Balakot, Nori Top, Neelum Valley and will end at Muzaffarabad. The date of the rally is yet to be announced.


He further said both the governments will soon sign a MoU for setting up basic infrastructure for trekking, hiking and camping.
