KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, without openly quoting the name of MQM leader Altaf Hussain, condemned his statement against the army. He said, “the statement issued by the leader of a political party against the army is not tolerable. We condemn it. However, it is good omen that he tendered an apology”.  Memon said that the army, intelligence agencies and judiciary are institutions to be respected and one should not make use of derogatory language against them. “The Army is engaged in Zarb-e-Azb operation against terrorists. Many personnel and officers have sacrificed their lives for this country. One should avoid using such language against our own national institutions,” he said, adding that PEMRA should also look into such matters by not allowing telecast of hate speeches. The members of MQM did not comment during or after the Sindh Assembly session. Later the speaker adjourned the session till Tuesday.
