The Rawal Town Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) has issued notices to 38 property owners for illegal construction.

A TMA spokesperson said eight residential and 16 commercial buildings, illegally constructed in the jurisdiction of Rawal Town, were demolished during April. He said with increased monitoring and strict enforcement of regulations, revenue generation has been increased considerably as the public now submit their building plans for formal approval.

The spokesperson said the administration has also confiscated six truckloads of goods during its anti-encroachment drive and fined 40 shopkeepers.

TMA teams conducted raids at Liaquat Road, Iqbal Road, Raja Bazaar, Bara Bazaar, Jamia Masjid Road, Gunjmandi, Saidpur Road, Commercial Market, Sadiqabad and other adjoining roads and confiscated goods of 58 encroachers.
