Information technology: NTG to invest in Pakistan

Pakistan Software Export Board would extend its support to NTG in this endeavour, said minister

ISLAMABAD: The National Technology Group (NTG) has announced to invest millions of dollars in Pakistan, providing a good opportunity to mid-sized Information Technology companies to grow with access to both capital and new markets. Minister of State for Information and Technology Anusha Rahman, speaking at a seminar, said that the Pakistan Software Export Board would extend its support to NTG in this endeavour. “Our vision is to accelerate the digitisation ecosystem to enable socio-economic development,” she said. “This will in turn spur economic growth. Pakistan is an attractive destination for IT and telecom investment due to the market size and the availability of a skilled IT workforce. NTG Chairman Mohammad AlBalla said that after forming NTG Pakistan, the company would hold an IPO to raise capital.
