Law and order: 3 ‘terrorists’ killed in shootout, says police

They identified one of the deceased as Hafeez Alias Mehmood

LAHORE: City police claim to have shot and killed three terrorism suspects in a shootout late on Sunday night in Battipura area. They identified one of the deceased as Hafeez Alias Mehmood Ahmed and said he was wanted for the attack on Sri Lankan cricket team. The other two were identified as Qasim Raffique, a leader of the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan Punjab chapter, and Yasir Ali. A policeman who participated in the raid told The Express Tribune that the bodies had been moved to the mortuary. He said weapons recovered from the suspects included Kalashnikovs and grenades.
