QUETTA: Frontiers Corps (FC) arrested two suspects and seized an explosive-laden vehicle in a search operation on Friday from Roghani area of Chaman district in Balochistan.

According to a FC spokesperson, two suspects were arrested during the operation from Chaman and a vehicle carrying 1200kg of explosives was also seized.

Situation in Balochistan has become complex in recent years, with security forces, as well as civilians being a regular target of insurgent forces.

On Thursday, an FC soldier was killed and two others were injured in a rocket attack on an under-construction in the Tasp area of Panjgur district.

Earlier on April 11, firing by unidentified assailants left 20 labourers dead and three injured in Balochistan’s Turbat area.
