Worth millions: Inspector arrested for illegal assets

Huge transactions were also found to be made from his bank accounts

PESHAWAR: NAB K-P arrested an inspector of the K-P police department, Gul Hameed Khan, on Wednesday for illegally accumulating assets worth millions of rupees. According to the details mentioned in a press release issued by NAB, a complaint received by the bureau accused Hameed of having a house in Bannu city, several plots in Lakki Marwat and hoarding heavy investments in national saving schemes. Moreover, huge transactions were also found to be made from his bank accounts by him and his family members. NAB took notice of the complaint and started investigation after which the accusations were corroborated. The accused will be brought before the accountability court to obtain a physical remand in NAB’s custody.
