KARACHI: Muhammad Waqas scored a half-century to help Omar Associates reach 145-4 against Khyaban-e-Amin in 32 overs on the second day of the Patron’s Trophy Grade II semi-final at the LCCA Ground in Lahore on Tuesday, after day one was abandoned without a ball bowled due to rain.

Waqas scored 71 runs off 92 balls with the help of seven boundaries and two sixes and was still at the crease with Fahadul Haq batting on 25 runs, while Babar Khan and Majid Ali took two wickets each for Khyaban-e-Amin.

The second day of the other semi-final between K-Electric and KPT was again washed away due to rain.

If play is possible on the final day, both teams will play a 25-over-a-side match to decide the finalist; if rain persists, the match will be rescheduled.
