LAHORE:

A Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) team seized stolen equipment on Saturday that belonged to the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO).

The agency had received a tip-off that LESCO Line Superintendent Shakeel Butt had stored a large amount of electricity equipment at his godown at Sharifpura Road. “He used to install the stolen equipment at private housing schemes after taking money for himself,” FIA said.

The team then raided the godown. During a search, the team seized steel wires, insulators, transformers, earth rods, links and other equipment from the godown.
