National fervour: Pakistan Day marked with zeal across Balochistan

Various events were arranged at Quetta’s Askari Park in connection with Pakistan Day

Like other parts of the country Pakistan Day was observed in Balochistan with traditional zeal and fervour on Monday.


Various events were arranged at Quetta’s Askari Park in connection with Pakistan Day which were attended by senior military officers, provincial bureaucrats and a large number of people belonging to different walks of life.


Prominent among the attendees were Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai, Commander Sothern Command Lt Gen Naseer Khan Janjua, IG FC Maj Gen Sher Afgan, provincial ministers, provincial police chief, Quetta’s commissioner and tribal notables. A large number of women and children participated in the celebrations organised in Askari Park where the Pakistan Army had set up display of weapons and military equipment.


Meanwhile, a large number of schoolchildren staged a rally in the Pak-Afghan border town of Chaman. Participants were holding national flags and singing patriotic songs.
